What can I say this place is the biggest ray of sunshine in the area. With great selections of both books and events this is a must see bookstore on your trip to peoria. And the owner is a lovely human who has contributed so much to the betterment of the community!

Wonderful selection, wonderful staff. Great location near the university and restaurants. A nice walk thru Bradley campus area. Whimsical, lovely, a gem in the rough. 11/10

This is the place. It’s the place to find just the right book or gift item, It’s the place to go when you need a minute away from the fray, And this definitely is the place that you’ve been looking for that feels like celebrates people being their authentic selves. Oh, and they have incredible selection of books and gifts and all that

This is one of the best indy bookstores I've been to outside of Chicago. The selection was powerful for its size with a healthy balance of new/used books. They have great ambience and a nice (but not too much) selection of notions, art, and zines for sale as well. The owner was generous with their time and made great local recommendations for our visit. We got some great used Star Trek paperbacks and postcards for our trip. 10/10 would visit again and so should you.

Lit. On Fire is a wonderful bookstore. The owner is kind and welcoming while juggling a one person show. It is full of books, yes, but most of all full of community. Its a rare space, a storefront with welcomes all people to stop in and lounge without paying to stay there. Thank you for being a community gathering hub in Peoria. Support the store through Libro.fm (audiobook app) if you can. And stop in sometime, sit on a couch, take a pamphlet for an even happening in the Peoria Area. You won't regret it.

Incredible local indie bookstore with a HUGE selection of books and resources on social issues. So fun to browse the stacks, or it's easy to just order what you want from their website and save yourself the time (and money from all the impulse purchases you'll assuredly make browsing)!

The vibes of this bookstore are amazing. Super friendly environment with a wide array of books that are right up my alley. It has used and new books as well as stickers/pins/flags. They’re almost always doing something to help build community. Highly recommend supporting this small business over the big box stores.

One of my favorite Illinois bookstores! I love the focus on women and LGBTQ+ authors, which make up most of their selection. I've found so many great gems here!

I absolutely love this bookstore! I've been here a couple times now and really want to get so many of their books! Their collection of both new and old books is fantastic! Any and all folk who want to do right by your community, I highly suggest visiting this bookstore, donate funds to help keep them running, and/or get yourself some books that can help you learn how to aid your community and help better society. Come here to open your mind and explore the perspectives of a variety of walks of life! Bookstores like this are important. They need our help to keep afloat!
